Brow-Pack-Bump!!!

Hidey Ho!

Today, I had my eyebrows professionally waxed
for the FIRST TIME!!!
I felt so so so girly.

Honestly, it was a great experience.
I went to a Benefit Brow Bar
where they focus on a classic brow line.
They're legit, my friends.

It was only 20 buckaroos plus a tip,
and I would totally do it again.
For you gals in Vegas,
I went to their ULTA Salon location
off of Stephanie and Sunset.
I highly recommend the gal there (her name's Alissa, I think?)

In other news....
I'm getting married in 1 week and 4 days.
WHAT?!?!
So crazy.
 Almost poop your pants crazy.

I'm in the process of packing my room,
finishing my final wedding crafts,
and wrapping up business here in Vegas.
My favorite part of all this is the in-between, actually...
The time I get to spend playing boardgames with family,
having random talks with my mom on the stairs while I box up dishes,
the glorious coffee excursions with my amazing friends...

It's a strange process, leaving.

One more thing.
So many beautiful women I know are expecting...
Alissa, Chelsea, Whitney -
Congrats to all of you!!!!
And I know this sounds weird,
but I have the urge to rub a baby bump!
(Alissa! That means you!!!!)

I feel like a freak,
but some weird switch has gone off inside me
and all I want to do is get all giddy
and pat a pregger belly!!!

Alright, that's all for now
:)

The Search.

I'm not your typical shopper.
In fact, I usually hate going shopping (unless it's grocery shopping).
Wandering aimlessly through racks
and shelves and tables of disheveled clothes
without a focus or goal in mind kinda annoys me.
But there is one thing I'm searching for.
One item I can't stop looking for...
These shoes!

BC Footwear Let's Go Sailing Flat
I want them!  In both colors.
It's kind of sad, I know.
I want to wear the yellow ones with tights!
And the black ones with my skinny jeans.

The saddest part... I can't find them anywhere for sale.
Nowhere.
:(
I'm seriously craving affordable t-strap flats like these...
So if you have recommendations, send 'em this way.
So yeah, that's my recent obsession.

Also,
I recently had the honor of being a bridesmaid
for my buddy Drea's wedding.
It was b-e-a-utiful.
Truly.
I'll probably write more about it later, but yeah.
Crazy amazing experience.
She's on her honeymoon right now.
Living it up in St. Lucia.
Good for her :D
I'm going to Montana for my wintery honeymoon.
Where did you go? (Or wish you could go?)

Alrighty Then.

Hello wonderful people of the world.
Today shall be a random posting for sure.
I just feel like rambling about my scattered thoughts
- maybe it'll help me to focus.

Life has been pretty wonderful in many small ways lately.
3 weeks ago (I think?) I did an open mic night at my favorite coffee place in town, Espresso.
It was fun!
I always get nervous before I play a show,
even though there are only a handful of people that will attend
and I'm fully capable of singing and playing with no issues.
Despite the nerves, I did get a boost of confidence from something unexpected.

I tried out a new hairstyle, which was bold, funky, and a little extroverted for me.
It's surprisingly easy, you just need some length to pull it off.
My favorite song I sang that night was "Hero" by Regina Spektor
- I played an acoustic version.
I love how much raw power that song has.

Another happy experience for me was a quick solo road trip to Anaheim
I took last week to visit my aunt, uncle, and their 2 lovely children.
It rained nearly the whole time I was there, but I loved it.
On those few cold wet nights, my uncle lit up their brick fireplace
and we stayed up late watching the embers, drinking wine, and talking about life.

My little cousins were adorable, completely enthralled with the coziness
of blankets, dim lighting, and the crackling fire.
So much beauty in simplicity.

Leaving was sad.
I realized it was probably going to be my last trip to California
for a long time.
These next few months are getting so crazy
and then I'm getting married
and then I'm moving
 and then
and then
I'm gone.
