Success!!!

About ten minutes from our home

 Hello!!!!

So last night, we made our second attempt 

at hearing some local elk bugling...

Well, 

success was ours!!!!

We heard at least four elk

calling to each other in the dusk...

It was incredible!

Funny side note...

As we were hiking along 

into the Fort Bayard Refuge,

we saw some mountain lion scat.

(AH!)

Not long after,

Tanner jumped over to me 

and whispered,

"I think a mountain lion

just growled at me!!!"

In the end, 

it was only a distant 

diesel truck.

Good times...
