I'm one of those people
who feels the need to rearrange things
once every six months.
Or so. (Maybe more).
I get tired of the same environment
and want a little change...
some PIZAZZ!
So, I move stuff around.
You know,
scoot this chair over here,
turn the couch around,
blah blah blah...
until it all seems to fit
and the room feels
refreshed.
So that's what happened here.
I moved our couch and chairs away from the walls
and into the middle of the room.
I centered it all in front of our french doors
to the screened porch.
The new seating arrangement is cozy!
It feels like an actual seating area now
instead of furniture just shoved against a wall,
isolated from the world.
Before, I had the two chairs
paired off in front of the fireplace,
which was nice!
The only problem was
they were so far from the couch
and angled away from it
that it felt weird to try
and interact with someone on the sofa.
Now, the chairs and sofa
share the teal coffee table.
It's quite the loving relationship.
As for our brown ottoman
of EPIC proportions...
I turned him into a small random seat
for now.
And that's it!
Anyone else ever feel the need to rearrange?
YOUR HOUSE. YOUR BOOKSHELVES. YOUR COUCH. EVERYTHING.
ReplyDeletesomeday, when we have a house that's bigger than 480 square feet, i want a bookshelf like that.
Do it!!! It's so fun having shelves - definitely encourages one to pick up a book (or five) more often! :D
DeleteI love the colours on your couch!
